Where you’ll be

Big Green Couch is one of the individually designed apartments at The Hermann, a historic building reimagined for contemporary living. Located on the fourth floor, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment blends Berlin’s architectural soul with thoughtful, modern design. The living room, anchored by its namesake big green couch, is a bright and inviting space to gather, read, or unwind. Textures of wood, brick, and fabric give the room a calm, tactile warmth — a hallmark of The Hermann’s style. The main bedroom features a vaulted brick ceiling, an en-suite bathroom, and a view into the trees, offering a quiet retreat that feels both grounded and elevated. The second bedroom and bathroom complete the home’s generous yet intimate layout. With its blend of history, craftsmanship, and comfort, Big Green Couch captures what The Hermann stands for — spaces with soul, shaped by light, material, and a sense of place.

Please take the time and read the description carefully and check whether the apartment suits your needs to avoid disappointment. We do our best to describe the apartment at best and we add many photos and an apartment plan. If you are not sure I am happy to answer all your questions prior to your booking.

Neighborhood

The Hermann sits where Neukölln meets Kreuzberg — a neighborhood full of contrasts, creativity, and everyday life. Around Hermannplatz, the streets hum with energy: local shops, cafés, and restaurants that blend old Berlin charm with global flavor. Just a couple of minutes’ walk away, Hasenheide park offers a dose of green calm and open space. There’s texture here — an urban edge balanced by community, culture, and an easy local rhythm. This is Berlin at its most authentic: layered, lively, and full of character.
